Can I return or exchange a cyanotype artwork?
It is important to us, that you love your order, and it is understandable that the colors, size, or rendering of the artwork may be different upon receipt than that which is reflected on your device. For this reason, we offer a 30 day return policy for our paper products only. Cyanotype clothing is not eligible for returns or exchanges. See our return policy page for details.
Are cyanotype artworks unique?
Many of my cyanotype artworks are one-of-a-kind originals, created by hand using the traditional cyanotype process. Because each piece is exposed, developed, and finished individually, no two originals are exactly alike.
I also offer select artworks as high-quality reprints, allowing more people to enjoy my designs. While the image may be the same, reprints are not original cyanotypes. Each product listing will clearly indicate whether the piece is an original cyanotype or a reprint.
How do I care for my cyanotype clothing?
Naturally dyed fabric will gradually fade over time. Following these care instructions will help preserve the beauty and longevity of your cyanotype garment:
- Wash in cold water.
- Hang dry whenever possible.
- Iron on the reverse side of the fabric, or place a cloth over the cyanotype before ironing.
- Do NOT use detergents containing phosphates, baking soda, or bleach.
Recommended detergents:
Kirkland Ultra Clean, ECOS, or Tide Free & Gentle liquid detergent only.
How should I care for my cyanotype art?
Avoiding direct sunlight exposure will preserve the artwork. Framing with UV protective glass is also a great option. Placing original cyanotype in the dark will help to restore the rich blue if fading has occurred. Handling with clean hands will protect the artwork from oils or residue.
